Got a solution to a forestry problem? You’ve still got time to get your idea submitted in the 2026 Harvesting Micro Innovation Challenge.  Closing date is 5pm, Saturday 28th March.

Whether it’s a new tool, a smart upgrade, or an out‑of‑the‑box fix for an everyday frustration.

Do you have an idea that could transform logging tasks and/or tools? This is YOUR moment! We’re giving frontline workers, crews, contractors, engineers, students – ANYONE – the chance to make a real difference in forestry.

Win $10,000 to build and test your prototype! We’re not just talking about ideas – we’re supporting you to make them happen. If you’ve ever thought, “…there’s a better way to do this…” now’s the time to show us!

Your idea can be:

  • A new tool
  • An upgrade to an old tool
  • A smarter process
  • A clever use of tech
  • Or something completely out of the box

THE ONLY LIMIT IS YOUR IMAGINATION!

How to Enter:

~ No long proposals – just tell us the problem you’re solving, your idea in a few words, and upload pics/sketches/supporting info.

~ Already built a prototype? Awesome – it still counts.

~ Submit as many ideas as you want.

Why Enter? You deserve this support as the people who know the work the best. We’ll help you develop your idea and connect with the right people.

Closing Date: 5pm, Saturday 28 March 2026

Where: Submit your ideas at www.microinnovation.co.nz

Award: $10,000 NZD to turn your concept into a working prototype and trial it in your operations
