Forest Growers Research (FGR), NZFOA and the Forest Growers Levy Trust (FGLT) participated in this year’s Fieldays Forestry Hub, joining more than 40 forestry and wood processing organisations at Mystery Creek from 10 to 13 June.
Now in its fifth year, the Forestry Hub is an opportunity to connect with the wider sector, see what’s happening across research, innovation and land use and put a face to the organisations shaping the industry’s future.
From research, innovation and workforce development to environmental management, this year’s programme highlights how forestry continues to evolve and deliver value across New Zealand.
Showcasing a dynamic mix of interactive exhibits, talks and live sessions covering:
- Forest growing and climate change
- Innovative wood products and engineered timber
- Mid-rise construction solutions
- Bioenergy opportunities
- Biosecurity and biodiversity
There was plenty to see and do, including hands-on exhibits showcasing sector innovation
