Nominations Open for the 2024 Forest Growers Research Awards!
The New Zealand Forest Growers Research Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding research contributions in the field of forestry and wood production in New Zealand. These awards highlight innovation and advancements that enhance the sustainability, efficiency, and productivity of the forestry sector. The awards acknowledge the science and technology contribution made to the forest industry in an increasingly demanding economic and environmental marketplace.
They been awarded each year since 2011 to recognise outstanding achievements in forest growing research.
here are six Award Categories, recognising the varied aspects of forestry research :
- Communication and Sector Engagement
- Innovation that Enhances Sector Value
- Science of International Quality
- Research Participation and Implementation
- Collaboration to a Science Team
- Young Scientist

Nominations close 5pm 30th August 2024. An awards panel will decide the winners and the awards ceremony will take place at the 2024 FGR Annual Conference being held in Dunedin 22nd-24th November.
